The Canadian Electric Tattoo Scene is an ambitious 3-volume book series dedicated to preserving the legacy of tattooing in Canada, featuring over 375 Canadian tattoo artists spanning more than a century of tattoo culture. From the early pioneers to the modern legends, this project captures the stories, artwork, traditions, and evolution of tattooing across the country.
Started in 2008 after years of travelling coast to coast and interviewing artists from every era, this is more than just a tattoo book — it’s a historical archive built from thousands of hours of research, conversations, photographs, and lived experience.
